This month I had the chance to watch a play at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. It was Ashu's birthday and we were both tired of celebrating all our special occasions with vanilla dinner dates. So, we planned a short trip to Ashland/Medford, centering it around one of the plays. We love the theatre and hence were very enthusiastic about the famous festival. The festival is hosted in Ashland but we spent the night in Medford which is at a fifteen minute driving distance. We had our dinner at Bambu, a lovely pan-asian restaurant. The next morning we started for Ashland. It is a very beautiful and lively city. You can see the entire market around the theatres full of interesting costume shops, book shops, gift shops and pretty cafes and restaurants. We watched "Much Ado About Nothing" in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. The play was an excellent balance of comedy and tragedy and the actors were a sheer joy to watch. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who is interested in a good play and/or in the works of Shakespeare.
The weather was quite pleasant and warm. So, after many months, I was finally able to put on a short day dress and oxfords. I kept a coat handy in the evening, but I did not need it at all! For dinner, I wore a black faux-leather skirt with a military green silk top which I initially thought was a rather weird combination but it looked pretty nice. I accessorized the outfit with plack pumps, a black clutch (sorry, missing in the pictures) and a delicate chain and pendant. I am not sure if the pictures have turned out well because we were very haphazard about taking them this time but anyways, here are a few. Hope you like them!
